Background

I have more than ten years of software engineering experience, with deep roots in frontend development and a broader understanding of full-stack systems. My work has included React and TypeScript applications, authentication systems, analytical tools, design systems, reusable component libraries, and the infrastructure that helps teams deliver them reliably.

Frontend engineering remains central to how I think because it is where architecture, product intent, and human behavior become an experience. But I’m most effective when I can see beyond one layer—connecting the interface to APIs, data, reliability, team constraints, and the reason a product exists.

How I work

I do my best work when the problem is consequential but not yet fully defined. I ask who is using the system, which assumptions are hiding inside the requirements, where the constraints conflict, and what consequences today’s decisions might create later.

That often places me between engineering, product, and design. I enjoy translating across those perspectives, creating clarity, and staying close enough to implementation that decisions remain connected to technical reality.

My approach to technical leadership is grounded in judgment, trust, mentorship, and leverage. I want my work to improve not only the system being built, but also the ability of other people to understand and extend it.

Systems made human

I’m learning to play the saxophone. It is a precisely engineered structure—metal, keys, mechanisms, and carefully balanced physical relationships—but the instrument alone does not make meaningful sound. It needs breath, movement, timing, and intention.

I see software similarly. Architecture and reliability matter, as do behavior, trust, accessibility, and meaning. The system matters. The breath matters. The experience comes from both.

Current interests

I’m currently interested in reliable AI products, agent systems, evaluation, schema-driven interfaces, developer experience, and how senior individual contributors create clarity across organizational boundaries. I’m an AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate and have completed Google’s Agent Development Kit training.
